Being a geek might not be that useful, but it sure can be fun!
Had a geeky evening of, firstly, not only getting my Tivo all networked up, but also actually getting it online, yes, as in properly online. I can access it from any web browser on the planet now, and setup programmes to record etc. Rather cool, even if I do say so myself. Just got to do a bit of black magic, and I'll even (in theory) be able to watch the Tivo over the web! Woooo!!
I was going to write up all the steps involved, and even started the post, but, to be honest, you'd be better off having a look on Google and filtering through the information you'll find there.
And, secondly, just because I was in the mood, finally got a web server running off the powerbook too, getting round various ISP/router/port-blocking type issues. Hurrah.
If I had something interesting to put up on it, I'll let you all see it all, but until then let's mark it down as: GeekNess 2 Usefulness 0

BBC advocates mixing your drugs - Shocker!
As I just started watching the Henman Vs Ancic match from Wimbledon on BBC2 a couple of minutes ago I was rather amused to hear that the first thing the match commentator had to say was "I hope you've got your tranquilisers handy, and maybe a stiff drink, and a sofa to hide behind"
Right, OK, nice to know the Beeb has a sensible grasp of what constitutes a good quiet Wednesday afternoon in, eh?
