Version Control

Imagine the scene....

20 tracks to completely written, produced, recorded, mixed, approved and delivered by Christmas. Initially coming in as Pro Tools sessions, but some of them will be going back and forth via OMFi in and out of Logic. As sessions can easily reach 1 Gb+ in size, we're talking 20Gb-ish of stuff that we could be dealing with here. Add in 3 sets of people working on the tracks, concurrently. In 4 seperate studios. Some of these studios are on different continents.

There's a very nice guy the other end of the project (in the States) who's kind of in the same position I am - and seems to be my American equvialent if you will - which is gonna help alot. I have to say, the wonders of instant messaging might just stop this all turning into a whole pile of chaos. This project was started with lots of emails flying about, and some other communication via people that (in the nicest possible way) made everything slightly harder to understand, so "Yay!" for free interactive Transatlantic messaging type things!

Anyway, so welcome to my world for the next 10 weeks!
