Possible 2006 single of the year?
I don't know if it's allowed to do that before it's actually 2006 itself, but finally got to hear the Freeform Remix of Mylo's "Muscle Car" today...and blimey how good is it?
(VERY is the answer!)
It's a great example of how a remix can realise the potential of a track in a way that the original producers might just have missed.

Buy it/download it/whatever, and turn it up loud. Great track.

Happy Christmas One and all
Here's hoping you're all having a fun time.
2006 promises to be an interesting year, in lots and lots of ways.

10 Things I Liked in 2005
Girls Aloud
Almost everything they did. Girly pop rules big time. See also Rachel Stevens.
Star Wars Episode III
So much better than I could have imagined.
Ben Folds Live
We saw him 3 times this year, in Brighton, London and London again. Bloke is a genius.
"Lost"
Awesome TV. You wait 'til season 2 (we're 9 episodes in already)
"House"
Awesome TV. You wait 'til season 2 (we're 9 episodes in already) (yes, the same as above!)
Pro Tools 7
At last. The MIDI is worth having. Best upgrade since stereo tracks appeared in 5.0.1
Our Trip to NYC
Still the 2nd best city in the world. After Brighton, naturally.
Tears For Fears Live
Never thought I'd get to see that again. Very special. Twice, in fact.
My TiVo is working again
Life without it is dull, and generally harder.
Grammy Nominations
No, I don't think we'll win, but still....
[things that almost made it - the AMV8 (actually sexier than the DB9? and, what, 30 grand cheaper....), "Dream On" being re-run on ITV4, the Frontier Design Tranzport controller, my new Treo 650, the iRed infrared dongle thing, finally upgrading the hard disk in my powerbook, the whole iLok thing - which made the aformentioned hard disk upgrade so much more practical, faster broadband at home although it still sucks having ADSL rather than SDSL as I often need to upload large audio files and it takes forever, the production on Will Young's records, finally getting a Jupiter Ace to add to the collection, a lovely birthday meal at Due South in Brighton, iPod Linux, My PSP - bought in April but at the end of the day cost the same as when it was eventually launched in the UK!]

Here we go again with the whole Grammys thing...
You'll be looking for Category 12 and Category 13 on this list of Grammy Nominations for the 48th Annual Awards then, won't you?
"Praise You" lost out in 1999 - to that bleedin' Cher record - despite being number 1 over here the UK. What fun, then, it would be if it could all be turned around by "Wonderful Night" winning a Grammy, despite it missing the UK number 1 spot by some considerable margin...
(and there's a little bit on the BBC site about it too)
